Online Apprenticeship

The Missouri Coalition of Animal Care Organizations partnered with Maddie’s Fund to help coordinate their first online apprenticeship entitled Growing Your Adult Dog Foster Program. The program was regionally focused and included attendees from all regions of Missouri and beyond! Course participants participated in weekly webinars with foster experts in animal sheltering, including the Coalition’s board member, Sarah Aguilar. Participants were also granted access to extensive online course materials and completed a marketing case study of their own. The virtual course focused on a diverse collection of foster-related topics, including foster recruitment/retention, marketing foster pets, and the technology/tools needed to run an efficient program. The Coalition looks forward to an ongoing partnership with Maddie’s Fund to continue offering educational opportunities to animal sheltering professionals.
